New Election Poll: PiS Leads KO and Could Govern with Confederation

Posted on 11 February 2025 by The Poland Report

A new poll conducted by the Pollster Research Institute for Super Express suggests that if parliamentary elections were held this Sunday, the most votes would go to the Law and Justice party (PiS).

According to the survey, 33.21% of voters would support Jarosław Kaczyński’s party, securing its lead in the popularity rankings. The Civic Coalition (KO), led by Donald Tusk, would take second place with 31.37% of the vote. This is yet another poll showing PiS ahead of KO.

PiS and Confederation Could Form a Government

Confederation, polling at 15.71%, comes in third place. Analysts point out that if the party were to align with PiS, the two could secure a parliamentary majority, surpassing the current ruling coalition and forming a government.

The Third Way—an alliance between Poland 2050 and the Polish People’s Party (PSL)—also makes it into parliament, receiving 8.90% of the vote, enough to clear the required threshold for coalitions. Additionally, the New Left would enter parliament with 6.85% support.

The Razem party would fail to secure parliamentary seats, as only 1.68% of respondents support it. This result not only keeps Razem out of parliament but also disqualifies it from receiving state funding. Meanwhile, 2.28% of voters indicated support for other parties.
